I read news on an electronic media outlet stating that over 60,000 worshippers carried out the Eid Al-Fitr prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque devoid of any festive atmosphere due to the ongoing aggression on Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. Those who entered the mosque did so right before the eyes of a state that excels in nothing other than hatred, while those barred from entry due to hatred completed their prayers at the gates, in the nearby streets, or under the tyranny of threats and violence. This news deeply affected me. “let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate”. This concept is harder for the spiteful ones to comprehend, as they believe that God, much like the land they have usurped, belongs exclusively to them. Everything is theirs, this is the essence of their delusion! Nevertheless, the Eid perseveres as a dedication to expressing gratitude towards God and striving for His approval in faces undefeated by hatred. Hatred will fade away. The Eid will return. My hope is for the people of Palestine to soon celebrate their Eid of triumph, and we shall rejoice alongside them.
