Drugs

I was paying a visit. Our conversation led me to talk about the prevalence of drug use. A young man who was with us joined the discussion. He recounted that their school organized a trip on the occasion of their graduation. They were forty young men and women. On the way, the bus in which they were traveling was pulled over by a security forces patrol. Do not ask why it was there! What happened was that all of his companions, except for him, had a positive test result, which they were made to undergo to identify drug users! I will not comment on this horrific story. However, I would like to say to each of you: “Today, the world is in your hands. Read about the harmful effects of drugs. If statistics prove that the spread of addiction is encouraged by company in the first place, then be wiser than any addicted companion. If, for whatever reason, they encourage you to take the drug, ask someone you trust, such as your doctor, first. However, if you have fallen into the grip of addiction, then every prison has its own key. Set your will free. Do not give in. Look around you. There are many people who would like to help you”. Always keep in mind that life belongs to those who are mindful.
