Deborah Feldman

I came to learn, by chance, about the Jewish writer Deborah Feldman, in published pages. I liked to get to know her more. Those who escape from the intolerance of “seclusion” and its blindness to the common good hold a certain excitement. In short, Deborah is a writer who rebels against everything that makes women dependent, backward, or enshrouded in their lives! I looked for her books. I found out that Netflix had shown a series based on her novel, “Unorthodox”. The “novel” is an uprising against every hardship that imprisons the human being in traditions that distort his uniqueness. What is strange about the “novel” is that when its protagonist, or its writer, fled from her marital home in America, she did not go to Israel, but rather to the capital of Nazism that had killed six million Jews. How could a Jew prefer Berlin to the “land of her fathers”? The seeker of freedom does not escape from one prison to a larger one, about which she says that it is feigning democracy! Will any of our publishing houses find that this writer is worthy to be read by the Arabs?
