An acquaintance of mine paid me a visit, and asked me to moderate his meeting with a mutual friend whom I know that he, that is my visitor, had wronged. I thanked him for his trust. However, I asked him that our meeting be imbued with frankness. He said: "It is not necessary for us to talk about the origin of the dispute. We meet. We have lunch. We talk in generalities...". I told him: "this is a complete meeting that needs no accompaniment!". He looked at me as though I had slapped him. Then he said, "I believe that what you are asking for will have dire consequences on our relationship". I answered him frankly: “excuse me. I do not see that your relationship is fine. It may well come back. Relationships are always revived by being humble before one another. If you are able to accept my request, I will accompany you now”. He smiled, and said, “let me think”. This is the best polite revocation. There are two who dare to confess their wrongdoings, the saints and those who strive for sainthood.
