On the tenth anniversary of the kidnapping of the two Bishops, Boulos Yazigi and Youhanna Ibrahim, speaking about their fate and the fate of those who are kidnapped in the land, is pressing. The crime that is denounced by far and near as being horrible, is still bleeding. In one of the articles I have read, on the eve of the anniversary, the writer viewed this kidnapping to be part of a plan that aims at emptying our country of its Christians. Whatever we think of it, this does not answer the ambiguity that surrounds the crime. The question: where are the two Bishops? has been exhausted. No one is unaware that of the many answers, not one has been officially proven. Even the election of a new Bishop for Aleppo, has been followed up, by our Church leaders, with the decision of relocating Bishop Boulos to another see (Diyarbakır). This is persistence in the hope of life which can be considered a response to the rumor that the leaders know of another fate for him. Does this persistence still have any meaning? I do not think that anything has any meaning if we give up our knowledge that the most valuable thing in life is life itself.
