Bountiful Giving

The life of the Church is filled with stories all of which indicate that God is here, guiding us to His will with unwavering steps. During the journey of building "Al-Kiama Church" in our parish, there are many stories which all affirm that the builder is God. You can guess the type of these stories—stories of God inspiring people to see His house as their own, protecting workers and engineers from fatal accidents... Yet, there is one story I would like to share with you today. The committee had asked me to send a letter to the brethren in our parish exhorting them to donate. I complied reluctantly. In my view, when there is a public project in their parish, people should move towards it without being asked! I wrote the letter. We received many responses to it, all with contributions except one, which was a letter in response to the letter. The writer briefly said that his current circumstances were difficult. However, he would not stop praying for God to be with us in our work. This was the most bountiful giving!
