Blessed is He Who Comes

We drew closer to Pascha. Pascha has been with us since the beginning of Lent. Its scent adhered to everything, to what it requires, to its prayers, to its topics, to the brethren’s faces, to the saints who were implanted in it. We do not believe that we, on our own, are capable of achieving our journey towards our Living God. What God asks for, He puts His power into it. This completes the journey. Few days remain until the feast. Today, we see Jesus taking up the stubborn city with His humility. He comes for the salvation of man. This is for our salvation to preserve that the power of Jesus is in his condescension, with His love, with His accepting to ascend the Cross. Jesus does not accept suffering for the sake of suffering, but in order that we see Him with us in the depths of our abysses, living and giving life. Jesus cannot be accused of having missed something in the working out of our salvation. This is our faith: when our brokenness overpowers us, our salvation lies in our extending this Paschal journey to every day. The Lord always comes for our salvation. Blessed is He Who comes.
