The Church is the home of incarnate thought; the home of talents which agree on regenerating the body and the work of good; the home of openness; the home of comfort and service; the home that is wide open for the sake of the holiness of the world. Last Saturday, I met with brethren in the Orthodox Youth Movement in Canada. We gathered in their home, at the "Monastery of Virgin Mary the Consolatory" in Brownsburg-Chatham, Quebec! We first talked about “Joseph the All-Comely”. Mentioning him confirmed to us that there is no faithfulness in the estrangement without slaying the spirit of individuality through life-giving work. We were all aware that estrangement could not affect Joseph's heart. He remained a son. He remained a brother. This is our duty on earth, for each of us to preserve himself for God and for serving people. Then the conversation opened up to everything, to pains, fears and consolations. We concluded that we belong to the regeneration in our Church inasmuch as we are a reason for solace and life in our homelands first. For me, this meeting at the monastery was a gateway to consolation and delight in the Sisters who lived in it and the brethren who now live in me!
