When the Apostle called us to be joined together in the same mind (1 Corinthians 1: 10), he knew that those who sell themselves to the beast are also of one mind (Revelation 17:13). In Christianity, being of one mind does not mean that people agree on everything, but that they reject the mind of the beast! We all know that this world, as it is, wants us to believe that any unity we hope for in it, is a hope preserved for the age to come. However, no future is completely cut off from the present. Do we remember that Peter, in his first epistle, combined, in one context, being of one mind, brotherly love, tenderheartedness and courteousness (3:8)? The future starts from here, with virtue, with love and its fruits. People like to befriend the words that move their feelings, everything related to emotion, stories of childhood and memories… When are we going to learn to love the others in their different opinions? This is the mind of the Word.
