Annette Eleftheriadis

I have not told you about her before. I am sorry. “Madame Annette” reposed at the beginning of the year 2005. She was a friend to all those to whom Metropolitan George Khodr was a friend: the Orthodox Youth Movement (MJO); bishops; priests; seminarians; the poor of Antioch… The woman is reminiscent of the women who “provided for Jesus from their substance” (Luke 8:3). She who embraces the regeneration of the Church does not differ from she who embraces her God. I do not think that there is a better definition of her than that she, like those women, wanted Jesus alive; a beautiful woman in herself, and in what attracts her or what she cares about; a woman who, in the great and the small, breathes ecclesiastically; a companion of the beginnings that wish to serve God; support of the weary. She has no children, nevertheless, she is a mother to many who have kept her remembrance on God’s altar or in their hearts. The richest people are those who spend their life being friends to the Word and His people.
