A Story to Benefit From

We spend our life not looking at our actual sins. I will tell you this story: a good girl joined a convent. The nuns liked her, and their Mother Superior was a second mother to her. Everything was indicating that she had entered to the convent, to stay. On a good evening, the Mother Superior asked her about her consecration. The girl told her that she is a sinner who does not deserve this grace. Her attitude shocked the nuns of the convent who were, all, certain of her pureness. The Mother Superior asked her to confess her sin. She strongly refused. Then, she softened. The girl took the Mother Superior to her room, and showed her a doll she had hidden from her. She told her: “this is my confession. I like to play with dolls. I am not worthy of being a nun”. The Mother Superior smiled, then she told her that she is calling her to a life in which she fights, with God’s help and in communion with His Church, her real sins. This is a story to benefit from.
