Those who are acquainted with the Liturgy of our Church know that this woman, the sinful woman who had anointed Jesus with her precious perfume (Matthew 26:6-16), occupies a great place in the prayers of the Great Week. Jesus asked that she be remembered with the Gospel. This is the theme of the Gospel that Christ died and rose again. "There is no greater love". A woman, who spent her life despising herself, found, in a moment, with a simple act, that she is accepted, that she is loved, and even that she is an eternal guest on the lives of the faithful, throughout history. Who is this woman? Those who are carrying out research about her grew tired. All they found was that she was a secret, that she was a word, that she was known by emulating her. To show love for Jesus, to expose ourselves to Him, to sacrifice for His sake all that is old and new, this is our path to knowing her. When we accept her as a personal call, her remaining secret is revealed to us!
