His love for God caught my eye ever since I came to this area in which I serve. He is not a member of our Church. Our encounters are made by coincidences or duties. A few days ago, I had the opportunity to visit him in his office. During the visit, a secret in him was revealed. My visit seemed to have two purposes, the purpose for which I came and the purpose that was revealed for my sake. We started talking about Saint Anthony the Great, whose feast we celebrated two days ago. He seemed to know his hagiography. In the course of the conversation, he opened his heart and said: “it is a passion of mine to read the lives of the Saints. This reading gave me the conviction to see in the hagiography the best interpretation of the divine Word. The Saints are a fulfilled Word. If we read their hagiographies with attention and silence, the reading enables us to discover that God “is watching to perform His Word” (Jeremiah 1:12)”. When I learn something remarkable, I like to write to you about it. I do not see knowledge greater than the knowledge of those learned from experience!
