The holy fathers told us that he who sees his sins is greater than he who sees the angels. Do you believe this statement? We are in a different world. It is all different: its fathers; its conviction; its vision; its parlance… Who is he who thinks that his confessing his sins is a great vision? When I held my pen to write these lines, I was moved by something flagrant, an offensive sin. I was moved by the fact that we have almost lost the value that we are human beings who are ever called to repent to God. What do we really do in our life? We distract ourselves with two things: with waiting for someone to praise us; then with the sins of others. The fathers tell us to be worthy of the miracle that is possible for us. They tell us to see ourselves as we really are, and to seek to be better. Those who accept this vision are the only ones who can tell us about the joys that are happening in heaven (Luke 15: 10)!
