Those who have known Father George up close cannot fail to know that his charismatic personality and academic qualifications... were passports to anywhere he desired. Antioch, this Antioch in this expanse in which we grew up knowing it to be a region of death, was, for him, a lush paradise. Everything in it was a grace that meant a lot to him.
