This is news that social media is buzzing with these days. Instead of it, for Palestinians who have obtained the Canadian citizenship, it now states: \u201cCountry of origin not listed\u201d. Before writing these lines, I tried to read about the news, to know some of its details and circumstances.  What struck me was that one of the Canadian ministers, the lawyer Marc Miller, in his excessive defense of the news, said something to the effect that those born before May 14, 1948, one day prior to the Nakba (catastrophe), can mention Palestine as their country of origin. The danger in this statement is that it implies that the Nakba has erased Palestine from existence or that its existence was incidental or without roots in history, according to the Zionist narrative. It is said that Canada's problem lies in its blatant bias towards Israel.
