Following the leave-taking of the feast, it plants for us, in our present days, other feasts for the saintly Fathers, that is, for many of them, namely the righteous fathers, the hermits and the teachers. The purpose of all this is for the Church to confirm in us that our call, in life, is to live, in the orthodoxy of our words and deeds, according to the fact that God has manifested Himself to us. We are all responsible in the world for bearing witness to God, Who is our life. Those of you who participate in the Divine services in our Church will have noticed that Jesus\u2019 call \u201cRepent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand\u201d, in the leave-taking of the feast of Theophany, overshadows our journey to what is coming, that is, to Great Lent, which is our way to Pascha. The Fathers are here for this essential matter, that is, to assure us that repentance is feasible for us for a firmer walk.
