This charming tree is one of the symbols of this country and an epitome of life in it. If you are Lebanese, you are not surprised that there is a leaf of a tree in the middle of the flag of another country, yet, it excites you to know the significance of this tree. The cedar tree, which is in the middle of Lebanon\u2019s flag, is perpetually green. Lebanon was intended to be an eternal homeland for its citizens. It never occurred to those who sacrificed their lives in its defense that the reckless politics will cause most of the people in it to want nothing to do with it other than to leave it! I searched for the significance of the maple tree. I found out two things. Firstly, for a long time, it was the staple food for people in this country. Furthermore, in times of war, its leaves and medicines made from its syrup were used as bandages and as medicines for the wounded.
