He mentioned two things, his excitement about visiting the beautiful city, and next, his shock that the statue, representing Christ Who triumphed over death, was \u201cwithout scars\u201d, that is without the marks of the nails and the spear. What caught my attention is that the theologian, cannot, in any context, take off his intellectual cloak. I read a few discussions, by artists and others, criticizing the statue with its shape and features. However, the serious theologians are not interested in criticisms that are polemical or humorous in character, but in the Truth.
