Yesterday, some friends told me that, these days, they are attending to helping some needy brethren who do not leave their villages during winter, to face the cold. Only those who love, who understood very well that we are all one family, are the ones who fight the cold in others. I remember my mother who, in the dead of winter, used to warm us with her own flesh. I see my wife who places under her clothes what she is going to put on any of our grandchildren whose care she is contributing to in this cold. The cold, especially in the mountains and the open country, is tough, harsh, and life-threatening. There are brethren of ours, everywhere on earth, \u201cof our own flesh and blood\u201d, old and young, who are threatened by the cold. Remember them. Do not accept that anyone be lonely, bitter and in danger. Repeat to yourselves that every poor person who shuts himself away, in a room or in a tent, is \u201ca child in a manger\u201d.
