A few days ago, I was struck by the words of Rev. Aidan Wilson Tozer, who passed away in 1963: \u201cFaith dares to fail\u201d. Before I try to search for the meaning of the word, I would like to tell you that my reading of what has come down to us from the writings of this American pastor, who was attracted to Christianity by the word of the publican: \u201cOh God, have mercy on me, a sinner\u201d (Luke 18:13), made me feel that he had extended his eyes to pages He had no common faith with its authors. Perhaps it was his self-taught \u201cfaith\u201d that pushed him to this freedom in reading. There remains for me to see his word here as an explicit call to follow Christ Who has reserved to Himself to judge us on the last day. Are we going to be on His right or His left? What Tozer says is to follow Him now. Christ, His love, is all beautiful, even if He sees you as strangers in His day.
