The feast truly belongs to those who adhere to the acknowledgement that God has invaded our dimension. Are you asking: why? Why does God's Word come from heaven to us sinners? \"God is love\". Everything He has done for us, from His creating us to His being born of Mary and His return in glory to His Father, is just so that we may ascend to the fact that He loves us. God is an ocean of love. I would not be underestimating the perfection of this salvific condescension or of God\u2019s gratuitous love if I said first to myself publicly before you: \u201cit is impossible for me to understand anything of the mystery of this divine condescension if I do not exchange God\u2019s love with love\u201d. Love is, in Christianity, the institute of higher understanding. Let us open our hearts.
