The true Christian is known by these two words, that is, by his ability to open his heart to any human being. A writer, whose work I was reading a few days ago, helped me to be practical in writing these lines for you. First, he asked: \u201chow can we be victorious over those who are hostile to us?\u201d. In his answer, he did not speak of weapons of iron and fire, but rather borrowed from a kindred heritage these interconnected points. He said: \u201c1- By forgiving him first. 2- Then, secondly, by preventing ourselves from talking about his mistakes, that is, from slandering him and gossiping about him in secret and in public. 3- As for thirdly, that we maintain our belief that God can, in an instant, turn him from an enemy to a brother\u201d. There remains for us to always remind ourselves that Jesus is present in His Word.
